Audio eVisions

For this this project I had a hard time choosing what I was going to do, so I decided to just make a couple of 3D animations and let the project flow. I followed a couple of tutorials that gave me some ideas then I found a song that I felt would work. The following pictures are the screen captures from the different projects that that I put together.

I settled on a song that I heard a while ago that was popular in Korea because of a show but isn’t very well known here and I give all the credit to the owner the song remix. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QCBhFxkgICE this is the actual song but I did change it a little in audacity so it was shorter.

Bellow is the actual final video, although I do hope I can return to this and change it when I am better at video editing.

Cyber Space Place

For this assignment I was trying to figure out what I used the most that I can make a physical space for, then I thought about Weverse shop. The Weverse shop is an app that I use a lot to buy official merchandise so I though it would be a great idea to use that. I basically made a kiosk where you can get customer service and you can check out the merch as well as buy it.

Mini Visualizer Exploration

This was actually kinda fun to make, it was interesting to learn how to make an actual music visualizer. I took some time to figure out what I wanted to do with this project but I decided to fallow my favorite music group as inspiration. I started out with using their logos as the shapes for my objects and then proceeded to break one of them apart in order to get fragments.

Then I used the fragments to make it look like a tunnel while I used the other symbol as my main object. The main logo was used as the actual representation of the visualizer.

I added a couple of affects and then I got something kinda cool out of it.

Peculiar Particles

For this assignment I had an idea that involved fallowing a line but in the end I wasn’t able to make it look good so I instead decided to explore the different settings. In the end I was able to make something that I though looked cool, but I think I could work on these a little more. It can be a little hard to see the actual object I used for the particles but the last picture can show you what I actually used for it.

Here is the 10 second of my particles, they came out a lot faster then I thought it would but it gives it and interesting effect.

Celestial Scene

This was a little harder than I though it would be, but I think the result turned out not too bad. It was kinda hard to get what I really wanted to come together but I think in the end I got an outcome that I can proudly show.

I did notice that the blue color of the planet would disappear when you would get closer to the planet, I would have to zoom out to get the blue color of the planet. I wasn’t sure if this was because of the shaders but I wasn’t able to pin point the problem for it.

In the end I was able to combine a couple of shaders to make the planet look like it had rings and some cloud dust. It was really interesting to be able to make those with a couple of added shaders.

Creepy Creature Crafter

For this project it was hard to come up with an idea for my creepy creature and it was also hard to execute based on what I had envision. I wanted to make a creature that was inspired by a video I saw, in that video there were headless creatures that had phones for hands and this seemed like a good idea to me but I changed it up. So I created one that looked like the fallowing image.

This was a lot harder to execute than I though, while making the main body I wanted to make it look like it was a monster made up of wires tangled together. I was struggling with being able to make that look decent and still get the outcome I wanted. After that I continued to work on the body and set the legs as if they were thick wires connecting to plugs.

The fallowing is progress pictures.

This is a small clip moving through the environment.

3D Emote

Using the low poly model we got I made sure that I connected all the joints in order to make it movable. Then I proceeded to animate the person doing the start of a choreography, it gets complicated after the first few seconds so I decided to just animate it freestyle and then dropping the mic.

3D Mask

The mask was a lot more difficult to make look like my model because of the image references, they weren’t the best and I didn’t want to use my own face. But in the end I did end up with a modeled head that I was proud of. Below is a picture of the reference I used to model the head.

The fallowing is my final rendition of the head, it might not look exactly the same but it is usable for a later project.

The fallowing is the work in progress screen shots I took.

Simple Sculpt

I decided to try to make Stitch from Lilo and Stitch but it was harder than I imagined for it being my first character sculpting in Blender.

He came out good enough I believe for it being my first time I kinda wish I did the Owl tutorial before I started stitch but after words I came back to it and fixed it a little. Hopefully later I can get better at sculpting. Below are some in progress screen shots so you can see how I was struggling.
